Paul D. Tieger President and CEO
Paul D. Tieger is an internationally recognized expert on and the author of five breakthrough books about Personality Type. His credits include The Art of SpeedReading People, Nurture by Nature, Just Your Type, The Personality Type Tool Kit, and the 750,000 copy best-selling career guide Do What You Are. The Founder and first Director of The New England Type Institute, Paul has personally trained thousands of managers, team leaders, HR professionals, career consultants, psychologists, attorneys, and educators.
Over the past 20 years, Paul has consulted with dozens of insurance companies, financial institutions, law firms, colleges, utility companies, governmental offices, hospitals, and a variety of other types of businesses. He has developed innovative programs in such areas as team-building, management and sales training, career development, succession planning, conflict resolution, and communication enhancement.
Paul pioneered the application of Personality Type as a tool to assist trial attorneys in selecting and communicating with jurors, and has worked on dozens of high-profile civil and criminal cases, including the first physician-assisted suicide trial of Dr. Jack Kevorkian.
Paul has appeared on scores of radio and television programs, including Geraldo Live and CNN’s Business Unusual, and has been profiled in The New York Times. As a result of his jury consulting experiences, Paul wrote The Art of SpeedReading People a system for helping all people quickly size others up and speak their language.
Paul holds degrees in Psychology and Organizational Behavior.
David Louden
Chief Marketing Officer
David Louden is the Co-President and Chief Marketing Officer of FATHOM, the applied strategy firm. With 17 years of leadership in marketing and customer acquisition for businesses large and small, Dave has an impressive track record for establishing strategy and implementing the mix of marketing tactics required to grow businesses explosively.
Among the companies whose marketing efforts Dave has led are the Internet Shopping Network (the first online commerce company), VeriSign (the leading Internet infrastructure and security company), When.com (a pioneering online calendar company subsequently acquired by America Online), and DirectAdvice (a leading financial software company subsequently acquired by Mellon Financial).
Dave holds a degree in Psychology from Stanford University, where he was a four-year All-American, a member of three NCAA champion teams, and a member of the US National Swimming Team.
Andrew Fleischmann Chief Operating Officer
Andy Fleischmann is an experienced strategic planner and a 12-year veteran of the Connecticut General Assembly, where he has served on the Commerce and Appropriations Committees. In the private sector, he has a record of helping businesses maximize their returns. In the public sector, he has been a leading advocate for investments that promote the growth of new enterprises and emerging industries.
In 2000, he became a lead investor in MostChoice.com, now an industry-leader in connecting businesses seeking insurance or employee benefits with agents across the country. Andy received a Bachelor's degree from Princeton University, graduating from its Woodrow Wilson School of Public Affairs cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa. He won a full graduate fellowship from Stanford University, where he earned a master's degree in history.
Currently, in addition to serving as COO of SpeedReading People, Andy is House Chairman of the legislature’s Education Committee and House Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee for Education.
Polly Merritt Maglio
V.P. of International Accounts
& Master Trainer
Polly Merritt Maglio is the Director of Accounts for the Hartford, Connecticut, headquarters of SpeedReading People, where she oversees all client account activity from inception through completion of training. Prior to joining the SRP team, she held Regional Directorship positions for numerous national fitness organizations including Bally’s, American Woman, Court House Fitness & Racquet and American Health Northeast.
As Regional Director, and as a speaker at IHRSA national conventions, she trained upper level executives in the art of designing and executing industry-specific leadership and sales training programs. With an 18-year background in recruiting, career assessment and enhancement, sales and leadership training, interdepartmental communication, and strategic marketing, Polly directs SRP's business development in the Hartford region.
Rob Toomey Vice President
In addition to his role as Vice President, Rob is also a certified trainer for SpeedReading People®. Prior to joining the company, Rob was a corporate attorney for five years beginning with Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault and then with Weil, Gotshal & Manges in Boston, where he focused primarily on venture capital and leveraged buy-out transactions. He holds a B.A. with honors in both Philosophy and English Literature from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa. He also holds a J.D. from Boston University School of Law.
Carly Toomey Vice President of Training
Carly Toomey became a certified SpeedReading People® trainer and joined the SpeedReading People® team in October of 2004. Prior to that, Carly was on the faculty at Lexington Montessori School in Massachusetts. She has more than five years of experience designing and presenting training programs. Carly graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., with a B.A. in Psychology.

David Carson
Mr. Carson is the former Chairman & CEO of People's Bank (Bridgeport, Connecticut), New England's Largest Savings Bank. He serves on the Board of Trustees for American-Skandia Trust (the largest provider of annuities in the world), the Old State House, United Illuminating Company, The Bushnell, the Hartford Stage Company, Connecticut Public Broadcasting Board of Trustees, and MassMutual Institutional Funds.
Martin Fleischmann
Mr. Fleischmann is the President, CEO, and co-founder of MostChoice.com. He graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Economics from Yale University and has an MBA from Wharton Business School. Marty was a management consultant at Strategic Planning Associates and A.T. Kearney for more than seven years before becoming corporate Director of Planning and Development at $2 billion National Service Industries. Wanting to enter the burgeoning Internet marketplace, Marty took charge of Dealer Web Products at AutoTrader.com during its fast ramp-up period in early 1999. In November of that year, along with co-founder Michael Levy, Marty started incubating MostChoice.com. Marty has a broad planning and business development background, as well as hands-on Internet start-up experience.
